• Expresses admiration that a result matches effort, training, or reputation. • Often introduced by さすが ('as one would expect'). • だけある is a shorter variant of だけのことはある.
The JLPT rarely asks whether you recognise a pattern — it asks which of several similar patterns fits. These are the ones ~だけのことはある is tested against.
だけあって comes before the result clause ('because ~, as expected the result is…'); だけのことはある typically comes after, as a concluding 'no wonder' remark.
わけだ simply states a logical conclusion; だけのことはある adds admiration that the result is deserved and lives up to expectations.
